Want your chance to make a difference to young girls' lives in 2012?
Life Changing Experience Foundation (LCEF) is a not-for-profit organisation which has supported vulnerable teenage girls since 2003. The SISTER2sister mentoring program is a unique 12 month risk management program, run by LCEF, designed to empower vulnerable teen girls to turn their troubled lives around. This program aims to break the generational cycle of suffering by helping "at risk" teenage girls to make better choices for a positive future.
To continue vital work in the community and with no government funding, we rely heavily on your help with fundraising initiatives. The Sisters Aiding the SISTER2sister Initiative (SASSI) has been a successful model since its inception in 2007. SASSI teams are individuals who join a group and get together to help raise funds for the program.
The opportunity for you to be either a team leader or team member of a SASSI team is a fun and easy way to help this great initiative. We provide a toolkit that includes an overview of the initiative, case studies from past SASSI teams and tried and tested fundraising models (with the focus on fun fundraising initiatives). You can join with your own SASSI team or be matched up to a current team.
SASSI teams gives individuals the opportunity to network, bond and create their own personalised events to work together as a team achieving their goals, all while helping make a major positive difference to young girls' lives. All fundraising supports the direct delivery of the annual SISTER2sister program.
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate, energetic and creative to join SASSI teams. Preferably with strong organisational skills, you'll be able to maintain a high level of support to your SASSI team for the year.
In return, you will be rewarded by having fun through being part of a highly motivated team. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills. You'll meet like-minded people and know that you will be working for an organisation committed to making a difference.

Welcome Life Changing Experiences Foundation
Life Changing Experiences Foundation offers youth support programs. Its primary initiative is the SISTER2sister Program.
The SISTER2sister Program – a 12 month mentoring program for teenage girls at risk of abuse and/or neglect which provides the girls with professional positive female role models to inspire and motivate them through a goal setting and achieving program to make a difference to their lives. This program is currently running in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area (NSW).
The Butterfly Opportunity Program – an ongoing opportunity beyond the SISTER2sister Program for skills development and work experience in collaboration with the community, involving local educational institutions and businesses.
Butterfly Support Services - to provide all encompassing wrap around services that address the current issues facing present and past Little Sisters in order to assist them to maximise the learning and skills they gain within the SISTER2sister Program OR Butterfly Support Services is a program designed to extend and facilitate additional welfare support to the program beneficiaries past and present
Corporate Butterfly Program - Mentor for a Day – an opportunity to engage corporate staff to use their paid volunteer days to be a Mentor for a Day through an introductory pre-selection program for nominations who have missed joining the current SISTER2sister Program. This program will run concurrently and will also allow us to assess the commitment of the nominees. Their mentors in the monthly activities will however vary as will the workshops and activities which will be designed by the "mentors-for-a-day" with guidance from the Foundation team.
