[ ABOUT US ]

Life Changing Experiences Foundation (LCEF) is one of the fastest growing not for profit organisations in New South Wales.

[ OBJECTIVES ]

1. To operate for the public benefit, in a charitable and benevolent way, by having disadvantaged young people at risk of abuse and neglect participate in a range of mentoring programs;

2. To offer mentoring programs and opportunities within the community specifically designed to educate our at risk youth and give them valuable positive life skills, independent living resources, risk management strategies and appropriate role models to nurture high self esteem in Australian ‘at risk’ youth;

3. To break the cycle of neglect, abuse, poverty and suffering of Australian ‘at risk’ youth by helping them to increase their belief in themselves and encouraging them to take themselves out of their present environments so they can make a difference to their lives;

4. To give disadvantaged young individuals the opportunity to be temporarily taken out of their environment to participate in a once in a lifetime mentoring program; which will teach them how to achieve personal contentment and fulfillment;

5. To provide disadvantaged youth with the chance to identify and explore their talents and learn how to utilise these talents to enhance their lives and be active contributing members of their community;

6. To teach our disadvantaged youth strategies to deal with the emotional and physical trauma of the past, equip them with skills to master life’s present challenges and guide them on the path to transforming their lives;

7. To show young ‘at risk’ individuals how to facilitate purposeful change and personal growth by implementing self life coaching strategies to overcome obstacles, draw on existing strengths and monitor progress.

[ ACTIVITIES ]

LCEF runs three successful programs which were established around the foundation’s objectives.

The SISTER2sister Program – A 12 month mentoring program providing personal success development strategies to ‘at risk’ teenage girls who are in need of support, inspiration and opportunity in their lives.

Butterfly Opportunity Program – a skills development and work experience program providing ongoing opportunities for the Little Sisters and partnering with community training organizations and businesses. This program is critical to ensuring that the Little Sisters who have been through the SISTER2sister mentoring program continue the achievements they realised during the program and attain the goals they set at the end of the program.

SASSI – (Sisters Aiding SISTER2Sister Initiative) formed in 2007 to embrace a phenomenal group of successful women in Sydney’s Corporate and Business Community wanting to support the Foundation and its initiatives. SASSI was formed to provide a perfect vehicle to engage the amazing women and harness their various skills to help fundraise, represent the Foundation in the corporate environment and the community, source services to benefit the cost reduction strategies of the Foundation and improve the delivery of the programs offered by Life Changing Experiences Foundation.
