STOP PRESS We require use of a people mover or similar sized vehicle for our events throughout the year. Our SISTER2sister Program events involve a large amount of materials being transported to and from various event locations. A number of our Little Sisters also require transport to these events. If you are able to finance a “Butterfly Bus” as a Corporate Partner or have access to a suitable vehicle or know of someone who can assist, we would love to hear from you. What an amazing year we’ve had in our 2007 SISTER2sister Program!
Our graduation ceremony in November saw our Little Sisters of 2007 graduate from the Program. I was touched and impressed by the amazing speeches they gave recounting their experiences throughout the year. Congratulations Little Sisters – well done! We are proud of you!
To all our 2007 Big Sisters Mentors, Team Leaders and Psychologists – a huge thank you! We are immensely grateful for your dedicated efforts in making a difference to our Little Sisters.
We would also like to thank our Butterfly Sponsors and numerous Supporters who provide services and products that help manage the costs of the Foundation. To our Funding bodies and our incredibly successful SASSI teams, the amazing network of volunteers who support the Foundation – we owe a debt of gratitude to you all. Your contribution is invaluable in helping us make a difference in our community.
Congratulations to our SASSI teams! From organising our booth at the ABN Conference to the sold out, fun and successful Wine & Cheese Appreciation Evening, you continue to impress with your dedication, effectiveness in getting people to participate and your ability to put together events with such speed and efficiency - it is a pleasure to work with you SASSI girls, thank you!
We’re counting down to the start of the 2008 SISTER2sister Program. Our new Big Sister Mentors have completed their Mentor training and joining them at the 4-day in-house Butterfly Bootcamp in January will be the select group of 2008 Little Sisters. We are once again in the midst of activity and preparations for what is the biggest annual event in the SISTER2sister Program.
Finally, I’d like to say thank-you and good-bye to two very special people who have had to leave the Foundation. Vicki Condon – our Program Director, who has been with the Foundation since its inception and played an integral part in its development and success; and Katie O’Farrell – our Program Coordinator, who has been invaluable in assisting the SISTER2sister Program events and has held a key administration role over the last two years. We wish them happiness and success in whatever they choose to do next and offer our heartfelt gratitude for their contribution to the Foundation and the difference they’ve made to the SISTER2sister Program.
On behalf of the Foundation, I would like to wish you all a peaceful and happy holiday season. I look forward to meeting you at our fundraising events. Continue to share in our journey throughout 2008 via each issue of Life Changing News.

In early 2007, Ben Teh was greatly inspired by the work of Jessica Brown and the LCEF team. He has volunteered his photographic services at the Life Changing Ball and more recently, the SISTER2sister CD recording session. We would like to thank and acknowledge Ben for the wonderful memories he continues to capture for us and the premium standard of his work.
