What a busy and exciting time for the Life Changing team over the past two months! Congratulations to Katie O’Farrell and our Life Changing Ball committee for an unforgettable night at our annual Charity Ball.
We are pleased to launch our new, fundraising initiative - SASSI. This innovative program aims to raise much needed funds for our Sister2sister programs. Read on to find out how you can be part of this exciting new initiative.
With just over three months remaining for the 2007 SISTER2sister Program, we are well into the process of recruitment for Big and Little Sisters and planning for Butterfly Bootcamp 2008. What a brilliant job our Team Leaders have done in managing the Big Sister Teams this year! We are absolutely ecstatic to announce that all Team Leaders have signed up again for the 2008 program.
And of course, we can’t forget our Little Sisters. They have enjoyed three “Life Changing Experiences” together in recent months, read on and be inspired.

Big Sister Recruitment
Where has the year gone? Already we are in the process of Big Sister Interviews for the 2008 SISTER2sister Program.
We were excited to have a significant group of past big sisters return for another year, some of whom are signing up for their third year straight! Again we have more applicants than we can take, however, this year we have a vehicle to engage Big Sisters on the waiting list, as well as past Big Sisters who wish to continue with their little sister beyond the program but still want to continue to be part of the Sister network. SASSI (Sisters Aiding the SISTER2sister Initiative) is a monthly network and fundraising meeting that raises the necessary funds for the self sustainability of The SISTER2sister Program.
Join an inspirational “can do” network of women as a perfect stepping stone to becoming a Big Sister Mentor or a vehicle to continue to make a difference. Our recent SISTER2sister outings have provided the girls with a diverse range of experiences and many wonderful opportunities for fun and learning. Trying their hand at art and sport, enjoying Christmas in July…a great time was had by all!

Blackmores Family Fun Run - Sunday the 23rd of September 2007
Join the Life Changing Team at the 2007 Blackmores Family Fun Run and raise money for The SISTER2sister Program 2008. Our aim is to raise $10,000 on the day by registering 100 participants to join us in the Family Fun Run!

Little Sister Recruitment
Little sister applications are now open and will be closing on the 14th of September. Following this, little sisters will be required to attend a compulsory “Little sister information day” on the 22nd of September before they can be accepted into the program. Little sisters can be nominated by parents, carers, teachers, family or can nominate themselves.

The Life Changing Ball –An Arabian Night’s Experience
Our major fundraising event of the year was held at the Sydney Hilton on the 16th of June. A total of $50,000 was raised for the 2008 SISTER2sister Program. All of the 450 guests were treated to an absolutely unforgettable evening.
Highlights of the night were the red carpet lined with Swarovski Crystals, our MC Bianca Dye, guest speaker-Sarah Wilson and of course the gorgeous Paulini was our feature artist. Celebrity guests included Natalie Barr, Sarah Groen and Ajay Rochester.
We are very proud of our very own Grace Whiting, a graduate of The SISTER2sister Program, who made a phenomenal speech on the night. Thank you to our Ball Manager Katie O’Farrell and the dedication and commitment of our Ball Committee: Lou Storie, Melanie Hunter, Bethanie Tobin, Michelle Haig, Sally Duncan, Kate Boyle and Louise Moule. Thank you to all of our sponsors, corporate partners, suppliers, supporters, and, of course our wonderful guests for supporting us.

Deloitte Cocktail Party
On the 18th of July, our Big Sister Julia Ridout, together with her company
Deloitte organised a cocktail party to say thank you to our ball sponsors,
probono team and new prospective supporters.
We thank her for her support and to the Deloitte Foundation for their generous donation of $3000. Deloitte became our first Corporate Butterfly Partner which will sponsor a Big and Little Sister for the 2008 SISTER2sister Program.
