Dear Supporter,
 This month we really have proven that alone we are amazing, but in partnership we are phenomenal.
Together with partner NIVEA, our Foundation celebrated Sisterhood in conjunction with Sisters Day.
We thank all who came down and participated in our Bondi Junction Westfield SISTER2sister /NIVEA photo competition. Almost 1000 shoppers lined up to have their photo taken and left smiling with a NIVEA goody bag. The event was a huge success, attracting many prospective volunteers and funding.
The response we’ve had from our Sunday Life feature has been overwhelming, our phones have been running off the hook and we’ve received many volunteer and Big Sister applications.
This year’s City2Surf was our most exciting one. NIVEA and SISTER2sister joined together to form our largest team in Life Changing history. Apart from a few blisters and grazed knees, the entire team completed the race day with many of us struggling to walk the next day. Thank you to all of the runners who participated in the race and to those who generously sponsored them. We raised approximately $5,000.
Thank you to Beaumont Consulting for their very exciting Trivia Night which provided great entertainment, friendly competition, and great prizes for all of those involved. The night was a great success and raised $4,000
This month it was an absolute honour to present to the staff of Sydney Water and accept a cheque for $7,600. As a direct result of their “Safety in the Workplace” program, monies were raised from this initiative and matched by Sydney Water. A special thank you to Big Sister Natalie Rose, who has been an ongoing advocate for the SISTER2sister Program.
We are excited to announce that Life Changing Experiences Foundation was one of 33 charities selected from over 3000 for transitional government funding over the next three years . We did not get the entire amount we applied for however we are confident that with this funding and with the ongoing support of all our volunteers, fundraisers, corporate friends, ambassadors and advocates, we will be able to continue to raise the funds required to ensure the sustainability of the all our programs that benefit teenage girls at risk.
