Dear Life Changing Supporter,
 The 2010 City2 Surf was the best run yet! A big thank you to all the runners who joined the SISTER2sister team. Although not without sore legs for three days after the event, it was well worth it, raising much-needed funds for the SISTER2sister program. Many thanks to all who sponsored our runners.
Thanks to the team at NIVEA and the St George Foundation! They came together at short notice to support a little sister who urgently required bare necessities. The staff provided furniture, food and services to make her home livable and homely. She can now cook and has warm blankets and a heater for the cold evenings. Food was also provided by OzHarvest.
The staff at NIVEA have also been busy fundraising for us and I was honoured to attend their Christmas in July event which raised just over $2000.
St George Foundation to fund the Outward Bound Program for 12 Little Sisters. To be held in December, this will be an outdoor leadership program. Stay tuned for more details on which girls will be participating and exactly what will be involved in their Outward Bound adventure.
Celebrating Sisterhood Fundraiser – The Ambassadors Lunch will be held on 1 September. We will be awarding several individuals who have significantly contributed and supported the Foundation and the SISTER2sister Program in the areas of fundraising, advocacy, volunteering, pro bono services and corporate responsibility over the years. We are honoured and grateful to have so many wonderful people in the organisation.
We are half way through this year’s SISTER2sister program. Many of the girls have had challenges to overcome including getting themselves out of harms way, finding accommodation and more. The girls are growing in self-esteem, empowering themselves and setting positive goals to achieve!
