Dear Supporter,
A very Happy New Year to you all.
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that when the year 2010 arrived, there was a strong and positive vibe welcoming this wonderful New Year. I have the feeling that this year is going to be a very exciting one.
2009 was a year of significant challenge for our organisation, our people, our supporters and Australians in need. The global financial crisis had two significant impacts. Firstly, it drove a significant increase in demand for our services by 20%. Secondly it impacted giving from our donors, especially given that historically the majority of our funding has been provided by the banking and finance sector.
2010 SISTER2sister Program starts in April
On a positive note, you can always take a negative and make it a positive which is exactly what we did. For the first time in six years we have momentarily paused the SISTER2sister Program (to recommence in April) to assess, evaluate and reset the foundation’s strategic goals for 2010 including national expansion to all states of Australia. We are very excited about our goals for 2010 and are committed to providing innovative and outstanding services that are cost effective and maximise the reach of at risk youth in Australia.
Exciting News!
NIVEA have joined us as major partner for a second year and our program is now called the NIVEA SISTER2sister Program. We are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful group to work with.
We have already locked in the fundraising calendar for 2010 with a series of innovative and creative events.
I do hope that you will join us in having a lot of fun together while making a difference at the same time.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Kind regards,

Jessica Brown |
