Butterfly Bootcamp 2008
The 2008 Bootcamp brought 55 new Little Sisters to the SISTER2sister Program. All the girls in the program are ‘at risk’ of abuse and neglect or have experienced trauma through violence, crime, war, bereavement, alcohol and drugs among other issues. They met their Big Sister mentor for the first time and participated in a series of team building activities and workshops all of which helped to create a bond between the Big and Little Sister and enable them to grow a strong and effective mentoring relationship through the program.
Workshops included goal setting, empowerment, board breaking, hair and makeup, rock climbing, canoeing and deportment among other activities that allowed the girls to extend themselves and participate in a lot of fun activities with their Big Sisters. This initiation to the SISTER2sister Program is the beginning of a life changing journey for our Little Sisters.

Butterfly Bootcamp 2007
It was the mark of a new beginning for the participants of the SISTER2sister Program, 2007. 42 girls, who have suffered through circumstances such as sexual abuse, drug and alcohol issues, depression, self harm, eating disorders and separated families meet their Big Sisters, who will be their mentor and support throughout the program, for the first time.
Everyone took part in a host of activities, including a skit night, dance mania, board breaking with Ron Lee, canoeing, a pool party and inspirational and motivational talks to help set goals for the year.
It’s the beginning of a wonderful journey that will instil confidence and raise their self-esteem.
