SASSI (Sisters Aiding Sister2Sister Initiative) was formed in 2007 to embrace a phenomenal group of successful women in Sydney’s Corporate and Business Community wishing to support.
The SASSI Mission
To raise the necessary funds for the future self sustainability of the SISTER2sister Program.
The SASSI Challenge
The SASSI challenge is to raise $250,000 per financial year to support the annual SISTER2sister Program.
The SISTER2sister Program
Each year Life Changing Experiences Foundation has an overwhelming overflow of Big Sister mentor applications. We are limited with the number of Big Sister mentors the program can take for each 12 month program. Fortunately, fundraising opportunities in the wider community are abundant. SASSI was formed to embrace and tap into these opportunities by providing a perfect vehicle to engage the amazing women who contact us daily wishing to help. This innovative and unique network opportunity costs nothing but your precious time, skill and “can do” attitude. Like the SISTER2sister Program, SASSI is a reflection of the wonderful women in it - success is written all over it.
Who is eligible to join SASSI?

Past Big Sister mentors who are continuing a relationship with their Little Sister from a previous program, and still want to be part of the sister network.

Current Big Sisters who want to go that extra mile.

Women who have applied to be Big Sisters in future programs or are on the waiting list.

Women who are friends, family or work colleagues of our Big Sisters.

Women who want to be able to give back but do not necessarily have the time to be a Big Sister mentor.
How it works and what’s involved?
We are presently recruiting 50 members to form 5 committees of 10 women with an assigned Team Leader.
Each of the SASSI teams are challenged to raise their target of $50,000 in 12 months, to fund a team of 10 Little Sisters and 10 Big Sisters for the SISTER2sister Program. All funds will go to the direct delivery of the program.
About The SISTER2 sister Program
The SISTER2sister Program is a 12 month mentoring and personal development program aiding teenage girls who have suffered/are suffering due to circumstances out of their control. This innovative, unique and results oriented program provides them with support, inspiration and opportunity. Each girl (Little Sister) is matched with a successful woman from the community who becomes a Big Sister mentor and role model. Big Sister mentors support their Little Sisters by helping them set goals that will assist them in overcoming their current obstacles and help them to focus on their bright future.
The program starts with a four day Butterfly Bootcamp and is followed by monthly workshops and outings that comprehensively make for a Life Changing Experience. The 50 Little Sisters and 50 Big Sister mentors attend all the workshops and outings in order to graduate from the program. Our professional training, highly structured program and strong support network is why our program is attractive to busy successful women. The results of the program are phenomenal and we are committed to raising the necessary funds to ensure the continuation of this wonderful program.
