The Launch of SASSI

SASSI (Sisters Aiding Sister2Sister Initiative) was formed in 2007 to embrace a phenomenal group of successful women in Sydney’s Corporate and Business Community wishing to support.

The SASSI Mission

To raise the necessary funds for the future self sustainability of the SISTER2sister Program.

The SISTER2sister Program

The SISTER2sister Program is an annual mentoring and personal development program aiding teenage girls who have suffered/are suffering due to circumstances out of their control. This innovative, unique and results oriented program provides them with support, inspiration and opportunity. Each girl (Little Sister) is matched with a successful woman from the community who becomes a Big Sister mentor and role model. Big Sister mentors support their Little Sisters by helping them set goals that will assist them in overcoming their current obstacles and help them to focus on their bright future.

The program starts with a four day Butterfly Bootcamp and is followed by monthly workshops and outings that comprehensively make for a Life Changing Experience. The 50 Little Sisters and 50 Big Sister mentors attend all the workshops and outings in order to graduate from the program. Our professional training, highly structured program and strong support network is why our program is attractive to busy successful women. The results of the program are phenomenal and we are committed to raising the necessary funds to ensure the continuation of this wonderful program.

Who is eligible to join SASSI?

  • Past Big Sister mentors who are continuing a relationship with their Little Sister from a previous program, and still want to be part of the sister network.

  • Current Big Sisters who want to go that extra mile.

  • Women who have applied to be Big Sisters in future programs or are on the waiting list.

  • Women who are friends, family or work colleagues of our Big Sisters.

  • Women who want to be able to give back but do not necessarily have the time to be a Big Sister mentor.

How it works and what’s involved?

We are always looking for women passionate about the cause to help raise fund. All you need to do is recruit about ten people in your company to brainstorm event ideas and organise them for your colleagues, family and friends. Life Changing Experiences Foundation will assist you with brochures, sourcing prizes and any other assistance we can provide.

All funds raised will go to the direct delivery of the SISTER2sister program.
